What a weekend! I feel like I blinked and it's gone. We had so much to celebrate this weekend. Of course Easter, Greg's birthday was on Saturday, and my little cousin's first baseball game of the season. We had such a fun few days!
Friday night my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew came in town. We had a cook-out and had THE most delicious food. I should've taken more pictures. One of my favorites was grilled pineapple. I've never had it before but I'm already dreaming of the next time I can eat it!
Saturday morning my sister, my mom, and I took some sweet pictures of my nephew at the park. The park is perfect for Easter pictures because of the dandelions. Henry wasn't too into the pictures but we did get some sweet shots!
Saturday afternoon my sister and I went and got an absolutely wonderful pedicure. For anyone locally who reads this, Nail Pro in Russell gives an awesome pedicure.
Afterwards, we went to see Elijah's baseball game. The league he plays in doesn't keep score so I can't say for certain who won. However, Elijah did a stellar job. This is him batting…
After the game, my family came over to our house to celebrate Greg's birthday. We are so blessed with the best family. I hope I never under appreciate everything they do for us.
On a side note, Greg's favorite cake is ice cream cake. In addition, his two favorite sweets are peanut butter and chocolate. I found a recipe for a peanut butter and oreo ice cream cake. When the candles were lit and we were singing, I set the fire alarm off. Go figure! =) By the time he got to blow his candles out, there were no candles left that were lit.
Saturday evening we went to one of our favorite restaurants. We had great company and delicious food!
Sunday morning we had a wonderful Easter service. Our church service was so uplifting and the music was beautiful! We went to my Granny's afterwards for lunch. We eat the same thing for Easter almost every year and I always look forward to the delicious meal!
Sunday evening we went to a tasting for a new frozen yogurt place. 7 Below Zero will be opening this week. Greg and I are appreciative of the invite!
I am so glad we got to spend the weekend in Kentucky with you cha! :)
