Linking Up with Bliss to Bean for Week in Workouts
This week went pretty good with workouts. I do feel like it is very hard to stay motivated when the weather is gross. Are we all dealing with that? Blah :/
I have never been a person who goes to the gym for a workout. I feel like the entire month of January-that's where I've found myself. What is it about the gym that is way less fun than being outside working out? Why does a treadmill SUCK compared to running outside? I'm definitely getting in the gym rut and I was so thankful this week we had a few nice days to be outside.
My work-outs this week are:
Sunday: rest
Monday: elliptical and ab workout
Tuesday: elliptical and arm workout
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: elliptical
Friday: Ran outside for the first time in a LONG time for about four miles
Saturday: Ran outside with my bff for about four miles
I have to be honest. I went out for a girls night last night and ate way too much food (including this killer Hershey/Reese pie)!
We also hosted a super bowl party for my family tonight. Once again, I ate way too much! I will be back on the bandwagon tomorrow. I hear it sleeting right now…let's hope for a few warm days this week!
My husband bought me this DVD this week. I am excited to try it out tomorrow! I've tried a few of her other DVD's and can really get into her circuit training workouts.
I also saw this fun recipe on instagram and thought I'd share it what y'all!
It would be so nice to be on a diet where you clean eat all of the time and your day is one big workout (does this happen in real life??). However, I am finding I am way happier if I am in a better balance. This month I've tried to use weights more (I still have to keep myself in check), indulge in a few of my favorite foods (hence the Hershey pie which was actually my second dessert of the night), and when I'm tired from the work day not force myself to workout. I believe working out/eating right has to be about a balance. I tend to stay more on track wit this mindset.
If you don't have any other reason to celebrate, this month marks American Heart Month's 50th Anniversary! Coming from a family of cardiovascular disease, I am so thankful of the light shed on this VERY important topic. Check out http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/ for more information.
I hope y'all have a great start to your week!

It is all about balance. :) I struggle with not being perfect and I'm finally starting to accept that an all or nothing mentality is only hurting me.
ReplyDeleteBalance is key! Great job doing what you can when you can! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteFriday and Saturday were okay in terms of eating but Super Bowl Sunday came and all hell broke loose! Woof. Oh well, we should be able to splurge from time to time right? I really can't wait for it to warm up, I feel like I am so much more motivated when it isn't crappy outside!
ReplyDeleteGreat job girl! Thanks so much for linking up!! That pie looks amazing and it's good to splurge once in awhile. You certainly kicked butt with your runs! I just tried that JM workout last week--holy sore abs! loved it. Can't wait to hear what you think!
