Weekend Recap {Nashville}

Okay, listen. Today may be Wednesday and I'm just recapping the weekend.  I might have also had Monday completely off of work and still am just getting to post about our adventures.  Give a girl a break! =)
This weekend was so fun.  I love taking trips with Greg.  We went to Nashville this weekend to visit with his cousin, Cathleen and her husband, Jason.   The trip down was so relaxing as Greg drove.  I got to take in the scenery and enjoy the views.

 We went as soon as I got off work on Friday and got in town around 8:00 Nashville time.  We went out for the evening and didn't get a.single.picture. Terrible, right?   We had pizza at Soulshine Pizza Factory and went out for a bit afterwards to Broadway Brewhouse.

Saturday we slept in (which was wonderful) and Cathleen made us a delicious breakfast!  We are both still trying to conquer a gravy recipe that has been passed down in their family.  We will get there!

After breakfast we got ready and went to Jed's.  We had so much fun hanging out and playing corn hole.  The weather was to die for!  I was completely comfortable in a black tee and jeans.  I am so excited for this weather to come and stay!!

After Jed's we hit up Whiskey Kitchen.  Such a cool atmosphere and DELICIOUS food.  I apologize for not taking enough pictures of the food!

We had every intention on going home after dinner, resting up, and hitting the town afterwards.  However, we were all pretty exhausted.  Are we old or what? Haha =)

Sunday we got up and headed to the gun range.  Y'all I have never held a gun before, let alone shot one.  Greg has always preached to me the importance of me knowing how to load a gun and be able to shoot it.  So, I caved.  I have to admit-I kind of liked it. Not to brag (okay I am a little), but I even had a pretty good shot!

After the range, we went to brunch at Bricktops.  I'll just say this.  For an appetizer we had deep fried donuts with raspberry, chocolate, and icing dips.  Can I get an Amen?

We had such a fun weekend!  Cathleen and Jason were perfect hosts! Even though we got caught in some bad weather on the way home, and it took us an extra two hours on the highway, I wouldn't have traded a thing.  Not even the almost five pounds I gained in three days.  But, who's counting anyway? Haha!

Y'all, have a great rest of your week!

  1. This sounds like the perfect weekend--lots of food and time with family. :) I am REALLY jealous of those donuts :)
